So, I am currently working with a coach during a cut. I am a bodybuilder, so I weight train 5 days per week. I have lost 15lbs in 5 weeks, and would like to get another 10-15 more by 31 December. At that point, I’m going to go into maintenance for several months to allow my metabolism to rebound and make my next muscle growing and cutting phase more effective.
My current macros have net carbs at 30g per day, and when I start into maintenance, I would like to increase that to see how my body handles it. I’ve seen that some can maintain the benefits of ketosis at 50g per day. My question is a basic one: is that still net carbs, or is that total carbs? I could fo ALOT with 50g net per day. And obviously my fats would increase in order to being calories up too.
