As much as I love reading other people's success stories about "x amount of lbs in short amount of weeks," I would be dishonest if I said it didn't get me a little down.
I've been doing keto since Dec 31 and I don't see any major change when I look in the mirror, but when I look at a picture of when I first started to now, it's almost shocking. I have a friend that's doing keto with me and started a couple of weeks after me and the changes to her physique are extremely noticeable while I don't hear the same validation from strangers, family, and friends.
Am I doing it for the validation? No, but sometimes it would be nice. It makes me doubt that I'm doing keto correctly, but every time I step on the scale, I'm around 8lbs/month lost on average. I try to do cardio every day, I stay within my macros, I'm eating at a 20% deficit....
Patience is a virtue, I guess. KCKO.
