Question: Cream of Mushroom Soup Carbs
Post Body

I'm trying to figure out the right amount of carbs to count from my cream of mushroom soup.

I had the whole can. For the whole container there are 25g of carbs, of which 3 are fibre... therefore there are 22g of net carbs.

However, it says that there are only 3 g of sugars.

22g - 3g = 19g

Are the remainder 19 grams starch, sugar alcohols, both? it just seems so incredibly high.

And, if I only get 3g of sugars in a whole can, would that spike my insulin?

It just boggles my mind that there are 19 mystery grams. The fact that there are only-3 sugar grams makes it feel very appealing.

I imagine I'm going to get all sorts of responses that say: make it from scratch :)
