Hi all! I've been lurking for the last couple of weeks, and decided to jump on the keto-train this past week. What I'm struggling with the most is meeting my fat intake without bringing my protein up too high. According to the macro calculator I've used my macros should be 144g fat, 95g protein, and 18g of carbs--but I try to lower the carbs if possible.
For example, today I ate salami with Swiss cheese as a breakfast/snack (I slept in), and chicken (4oz) with Swiss cheese and spinach for lunch. I'm currently at 59g of fat, 82g of protein, and 1g of carbs.
How do I up the fat without upping the protein, as most of my fat intake (meats and cheeses) also has protein. I cooked the chicken using olive oil which gave me some fat, but I'm not sure what other things I should be eating or if this even matters all that much. According to a lot of the posts I've seen, too much protein can lead to being kicked out of ketosis, and I don't want that to happen. If I'm under my fat allowance, but meet my protein allowance, does that prevent me from being in ketosis?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
