Not so positive blood parameters after lchf, need some advice..
Post Body

I've been eating lchf for about for months now, without counting neither carbs nor calories but I eat very low carbs so I assume I'm most likely getting in and out of ketosis depending on the day (it's not my intention to fine tune that since I'm already feeling great eating lchf).

Ok, the results:

Parameter Initial 4 months lchf
Total 238 295
HDL 94 75.5
TryG 51 <70

The machine didn't even print the tryg's number (it was a pharmacy, not a lab). Ok, so I was already expecting a rise in both total and HDL but I think my results are not positive at all: if the total increased and HDL decreased, then by math logic the difference must reside in a huge increase in LDL, right? I'm not going to ask "Am I killing myself with this diet" because the numbers are still positive, although they didn't get any better, that's for sure. Should I go back to the way I ate before? I have to say that besides this results, all the other effects are beyond positive: I feel better than ever, more physical and mental energy, my auto-inmune skin disease got completely reversed.. the blood results can't deny all that.

Still the numbers worry me as they can be showing a simple snapshot of a trend, heading to an even higher total cholesterol and an even lower HDL, I'd really appreciate some comments from the community.

As a side anecdote, the doctor's reaction to my diet and the results were priceless.. She asked me why I wanted to test my cholesterol so I told her about my changes in the diet: she reacted like I had said I drink truck fuel for breakfast or something.. she gave me a 30 min lecture of how insane my diet was and how I was heading to a heart attack in less than 10 years. According to her my tryg's were going to be "at the stars". And when the machine started to print the results she was speechless, I wasn't thrilled at all since my HDL had lowered, but she was clearly expecting a much much lower reading. And she was as confused as I was with the "<70" tryg's result, she checked the manual and we got to the conclusion that it must be calibrated to measure inside the biggest statistical range where most people are, she said she almost never has a <200 reading. Her final conclusion was "It must be only because you don't smoke".
