So how are you all managing electrolytes? I'm almost a month in to my keto diet and my energy levels are pretty poor. I'm wondering if I need to up my electrolyte intake or if maybe ketos just not for me.
I've got some potassium and magnesium supplements but i'm not consistently taking them because i'm worried about overdoing it. It seems like a lot of the symptoms of low electrolytes are the same as the symptoms for high electrolytes so i was wondering if there's anyway to know if you need more or not.
I'm looking for a way to keep it simple with the elecrolytes because if things get too complicated i'm less likely to stick to it.
Would something like a half teaspoon of low sodium salt and a half teaspoon of regular salt in a cup of hot water in the morning along with magnesium supplementation in the morning be enough to cover me for the day or would i need to split the dose up and have my electrolyes at regular points through the day?
I've always been quite lean and wanted to do keto for mental health reasons but i'm not sure if i can sustain it when my energy levels are low.
I use the electrolyte packets you add to water at WalMart, I like that it adds flavor to my water.
