Hey guys! So, back in 2020 at the height of the pandemic I was told I was prediabetic. I had been sick for a little while prior to them discovering that my A1C levels had elevated quite a bit and for that reason alone I was experiencing symptoms that are common in a person with diabetes. Because it runs in my family, I quickly decided to change my lifestyle. I began eating a keto diet and over the course of 6-7 months I had lost about 25lbs total. I felt better than I had ever felt in my life and it really changed me for the better. I kept up with it for about a year and a half until I hit a wall and due to unresolved mental health issues I began to back track. I’ve tried several times to get back on keto, but it’s been to no avail. I’d kill to feel the way that I did before.. Any advice? I feel like I’m baby who’s learning to walk for the first time again 😂
Also, what do you all recommend to eat with a protein shake? Normally, I have premier protein on hand which typically has 30g of protein. I haven’t had the chance to stop by my local wholesales store to pick up a box and the stores near me seem to have been low on the brand. I’ve had to settle for shakes that are 15g of protein. Any suggestions?
Thank you! 🙏🏽
