So glad he commented on one of my Facebook posts. He said he has been taught that high fat, low carb, diets are safe and effective at weight loss. He and his colleagues even tried keto for a while. That'll shut up our mutual friends who keep telling me it is dangerous.
Ugh. I am a bio major and they are animal science. They think that taking dairy cattle nutrition means they are experts in human nutrition. Cows are herbivores and obviously don't have the same metabolic pathways as humans. At least I can shut them up now.
Bonus:this is evidence that doctors are getting smarter about what constitutes a healthy diet. We just need the old ones to retire!
