So, I’ve recently started Keto (just my third day now) and I have been feeling great so far and really enjoying learning more about it as I go. One issue is my girlfriend is really doubting it and she is doing a calorie deficit but still eating what she wants type of thing which I have done in the past but could not sustain as it become too easy for me to forgo portion control when eating unhealthy foods. She is adamant that keto is not healthy and that it is not sustainable for me. what started out as a fun challenge for us to both lose weight in our own ways and overall lead healthier lives has turned into a bitter disagreement that is leaving me somewhat in doubt if this is for me after all. I guess more than anything I’m looking for some advice and support on how to handle people who vehemently disagree with the validity of keto.
EDIT: Her and I had a discussion and we are seeing more eye to eye now. I’m going to continue my Keto life and she will continue doing her thing. Thanks everyone for your input. I am going strong and already down a few lbs of water weight. I am in ketosis and feeling great. Clear headed and energy to spare!
