It's so hard. And I'm not even going to go into the expense. I'm exhausted because I have to go to Aldi, BJs, Walmart, Shop Rite, and Stop and Shop to get all the things I want and I still can't get everything.

I can get a big block of kerrygold grass-fed cheddar and a 4 pack of butter from BJs, they also have decent prices on free range chicken and great prices on free range eggs. They have the best prices on humanely raised deli ham and bacon. But they don't have any grass-fed cream or other dairy.

I can get pastured half and half from shop rite so sometimes I get that since while Walmart has grass fed cream it's much farther away so I only go there when I go to Aldi. Walmart also had a great deal on grass fed ground beef and I was impressed they had a couple other things, I think they had the humanely raised deli ham as well.

Aldi had a couple meat items that fit my values but not much other than free range eggs but the BJs is better.

Stop and Shop and Shop Rite both have the good culture brand which is pastured. They only had the sour cream this time but I thought that brand made cream cheese as well. Stop and Shop is the only one who had grass-fed pain yogurt, but it wasn't the low carb kind, just regular Greek style.

I could not find any grass-fed cheese that was not cheddar, and of course nothing shredded. No mozz, no parm. No cream cheese. I could not find anything for pork other than deli ham and bacon. But those pork products were the only products with "humanely raised".

I'm very happy and grateful these stores are offering as much as they are. There isn't a whole foods within reasonable driving distance for me and I'm afraid of their prices. There is a bougie natural foods style near me that does have some grass fed cheese (still just cheddar) and frozen local farm meats. They are very expensive. And the info on how they are raised is very sparse. The cheese was mostly just local, but not grass-fed. I have a dairy farm right up the street from me, and those cows literally never leave the barn except to get milked. Makes me so sad.

I know the labels for free range and humane are not regulated and could be lies, I don't know if the grass fed is meaningful or not, but I feel like the more I buy that stuff the more I'm voting to see more stuff like it and hopefully, the more real it gets and the more options become available. I'm certainly glad keto OMAD keeps my food intake limited because damn, shits expensive. I live alone so I only have to worry about myself. I'm trying.
