I see a lot of healthy eating wins and I just wanted to share my win of this week.
I had a rough week last week (lock down, fussy baby etc) and wasn't able to arrange a grocery delivery in time so we were doing a lot of using up from the freezer and pantry while we waited for a slot to open up.
Sometimes for me intuitive eating looks like eating what we have and perhaps eating less than I normally would (not to fullness) because I'm not enjoying the food but I need the fuel. Sometimes it looks like a really plain rice dish because we are actually out of fresh food and the groceries are coming tomorrow and leaving the house doesn't feel like a good idea. Sometimes it looks like putting away the ingredients for the lovely dinner I had planned to make when the food arrived and eating instant noodles and doughnuts instead because I feel like relaxing and enjoying my food instead of cooking.
I just feel like doing this past week without guilt and just living in the moment and letting a rough situation be a rough situation is the first time I have done that in such a long time. Accepting that intuitive eating doesn't always look like eating the exact thing I want to eat but sometimes it looks like eating what is available and feasible in the moment and that is good enough.
