Physical discomfort in my new body

Post Body

I've been gaining weight, I'm almost up to my last heaviest weight, and I'm (mostly) neutral about it. Trying to lean in to and accept it for what it is. I'm also seeing a nutritionist who has been great and has remained weight neutral and focused on helping make sure I'm eating enough and eating balanced. I don't have any fear foods, everything is allowed, I eat fewer sweets and fewer snacks, and don't over eat as much. I do forget to eat.

My issue is that I have pretty much stopped physical exercise because my feet hurt so much due to plantar fasciitis, which seems to have gotten significantly worse since weight gain started. (My next step is about to be a podiatrist, so not looking for medical advice.) I also feel just generally uncomfortable in my body.

Is this a normal part of the process? To feel uncomfortable physically with weight gain? What do you do?

Also regarding movement I seem to have serious squirrel brain. I'll be really into something, say yoga, for a month or two, then burn out. It's like i need 5 different things I can rotate through. I loved yoga but doing it everyday was boring. Tried walking and that's when I noticed my foot pain getting really bad, so I stopped. Thinking about doing a spin class because it puts less pressure on my feet. My energy level is also lower than it used to be.

What are some internal motivations that help you stay active? I have difficulty finding mine.
