Hi there IF community,
I will be 100% transparent, I’ve rolled my eyes at IF for a long time. However I’ve recently been looking into and thinking about trying fasting because of my issues with GERD (aka really bad constant acid reflux). Apparently it helps to give the digestive system a break. I’m also really desperate to lose weight and I’ve tried many things and nothings really worked. I’m considering trying out IF for weight loss, I’ve already tried out some cleanses that have helped my GERD issues.
My question to you all is, how do you know IF works? From the outside, it looks like a fad to me. Especially since all the people I see online doing IF are already making healthier lifestyle choices, like working out more and eating cleaner. So whose to say that the weight loss is because of that, and not the IF itself? I don’t know anyone who does it personally so I’m looking for personal experiences. Why do you like it, and how do you know it’s IF that’s helping you lose weight? I don’t post to try and make fun of any of what you guys are doing. I’m all for people doing what they like and works for them. I’m just genuinely curious.
