Is ok to change hours?

So my schedule for work is split between 8-5pm and 12-9pm. I really want to start IF but Iām afraid my schedule will not permit 8-16. Would it still work if I change windows depending on my work schedule or do I have to be consistent all week for it to work. Thanks in advance for the help.

Wow that was so informative, thank you. I am a very picky eater and I wish it was only healthy food that I liked haha. So I think IF is just one more tool I could use. I am currently 195lb~ trying to get to 175lb maybe less. Hopefully I can drop the weight before I move cities which is in 4 months. Thanks again for the info.
