I already have a fair amount of vision loss. I’ve been getting told I’m going blind since I was 5. I’ve heard it for years. It’s been used as a scare tactic by so many doctors over and over again and I’m honestly so over it. Not sure if I really even care if I go blind anymore. Especially if it means I’m electively giving myself a whole new set of symptoms and potential side effects/conditions bc from what I’ve been reading from a lot of you, the shunt hasn’t really don’t much in terms of relieving any symptoms or improving quality of life. have I been misunderstanding? from what I can tell all the shunt is really gonna do is prevent any further vision loss which ok cool great I guess…. Is it worth it?
