Hey guys. I've been lifting since August this month and switched to a 6 day split in January. Now that I've switched from cutting to bulking I have started becoming more tired during my days verses when I was cutting. I used to go to bed around midnight and wake up by 6am to go to the gym but now I'm aiming to go to bed by 9-10pm to wake up by 5am to workout by 6.

Though I average more sleep, nights I don't get the 8-9 hours I feel like crap and I'm groggy when I wake up and have to take a nap during the day. I usually take caffeine pills on days I don't get 8-9hrs of sleep and last night I bought melatonin since I read it helps with sleep.

I woke up with a headache after taking 3mg of melatonin (I'll try a smaller amount) but I've never had any issue falling asleep in less than 5 minutes of laying in bed so should I not take melatonin? How can I feel better on the days I don't fully get my ideal amounts of sleep?
