Advice on getting moving again
Post Body

In the last couple years I've really enjoyed exercise so much more than I used to. I no longer look at it as some kind of punishment or as something that I had to always be getting better at... I just found joy and moving my body and feeling strong. I've been pretty consistent about working out at least three times a week for the last couple of years... And the pandemic led to me really enjoying walking as a form of exercise again. I'm very lucky that there's a beautiful trail near my house or I can easily do 30 minutes or more.

But over the last couple of months things have changed a bit. Temperatures are colder it gets dark around 5:00 p.m. and I started a new job so I'm back in the office most days of the week.

I've begun going to the gym a little bit here and there but I try not to go during the busy times like after work during the week.

Anyway I was wondering what advice you have to help me get back in the swing of exercise... I find that after a day at work it's really hard for me to change clothes and go to the gym or do a workout at home... I sort of just seem to come home from work and melt to the couch. During the spring and summer I know it will be easier because I'll have several hours of daylight after work... But any advice to give me a little bit more motivated and get me back to enjoying fitness during these colder darker months?
