My mom (55) has rheumatoid arthritis as well as spinal disc problems. She feels a lot better when she is able to do a dead hang and her spine gets a good stretch. Unfortunately her rheumatoid arthritis has worsened recently and she is not able to drop a pull up bar. Does anyone have suggestions on how to dead hang without using your hands? The only thing I have come up with so far is doing one of those aerial ribbon fabric exercise classes where a ribbon is hanging from the ceiling and you wrap your body in it and hang. I also thought that maybe she could place her forearms on some strong surfaces and use that as way of holding her body up and hanging. Kinda like a dip station. Any advice would be appreciated, thank you.
