I want to start off by saying I will absolutely place the baby and my wife before myself. Whatever time that takes of course.
I just am looking for some experiences from other partners as to how much time you took off from the gym?
A few weeks seems like overkill to me, it’s important to keep some routine for physical and mental health. I feel like garbage if I miss a whole week. Home workouts only do so much for me as I like to lift heavier than what we have at home.
Edit to add: I will be home full time for at least 3 months, off work.
Share your experiences :)
My advice…which you don’t have to take, but it was hard for me to take more than a week off too, but when you look back after a few years you will be glad you took two weeks off. If you do list, try to do it at home. Prioritize your wife and new child. I did not do a great job at not working out during that time and it’s best to take care of your wife and just do pushups and stuff at home for a good bit. Goodluck!
