How do folks who cook for the family handle fasting?

I'm new to fasting, 14 days into IF with a base of 20:4 but generally extending to 50 hours (depending on how I'm feeling). The hardest part for me is that I cook for the household, and I'm the only one fasting. I have no intention of not cooking (I have a toddler and that means 3 meals a day plus snacks for him) but it's torture sometimes to cook a meal and not partake.
Tips? Stories?
