Fasting, food allergies & CFS
Post Body

Hi

Has anyone on this subreddit tried any types of fasting whether intermittent or long term for any type of food allergies/intolerance and have had any success with it? Same question for CFS since mostly food intolerance have a very common side effect of constant fatigue. Thank you!

Edit: I should have mentioned as to why I am asking this. Basically one of my friends fasts one month every year as a religious thing. He is allergic to a lot of foods and most of them are healthy foods like banana, orange and like raw carrots! Apparently he has some severe form of OAS. He told me the other day that Ramadan is good for him because he can have those foods in moderate quantities that he cannot have all year around which really surprised me. I have always known that intermittent fasting is good for health but never knew that it helped with food allergies! I am really struggling with severe hay fever this year and also am intolerant to some foods but I am interested in finding out whether that's a specific case with his allergy or is something that other fasters have noticed too.
