What is the specific reason to take baking soda, for 72hr fast, if sodium levels are being supported by other means?
Post Body
Im creating my 'stack' for the coming fast, and I'm adding 1/4 tsp bicarb to my bottle of water along with 1 tsp of heart salt - lower sodium, higher potassium. For magnesium I simply take 2 Zma tablets each day. And a squirter of lemon for taste.
I am not sure what gap the bicarb is meant to fill- is there an "official" answer from r/fasting?
