Is back pain and side pain normal with longer fasts?

Post Body

I've seen some other posts and videos of people saying they have experienced similar pain. I've never had this pain before. It was last evening at around 7:00 pm, I had this bad aching pain in my side and around my back. Today it mostly remained in the lower back.

I've done 36 hour fasts before and never had side effects but I was at 44 hours yesterday. My goal was to go until tomorrow at around 10:00 but I decided to break the fast to see if it would alleviate it. All I had was some bone broth about an hour ago and already I feel fine.

Does anyone know why fasting at a certain length seems to cause this in a lot of people?
