My big plan is to do 30 days of rolling 72s. Ideally, this would be about 10 separate fasts which is easier to comprehend than not eating for 20 days and eating for an hour the other 10. But I'm not feeling too happy/great.
Would this be a consequence of my diet going into the fast or should I have adjusted by now? I didn't eat the most amazing diet beforehand, but the day I started the fast I was eating broccoli, oatmeal, steak, eggs, bacon--whole foods and less processed junk. My refeed today is a couple of keto shakes, just to make sure my stomach doesn't kill me from trying to jump back into processing solid foods.
Over the past few days I really only had about 6 solid hours where I wasn't lethargic, dizzy, or contemplating giving up. Where my mind was honed to an edge and I felt like I could conquer anything. Also, I'm walking about 1 mile every day. I'm also getting the usual insomnia, but that was a problem even before the fast.
I'm planning on another 72 hours (23 minutes in as I type this) but I want to know if I should stop (or alter) if I don't feel the effects I expect within this next fast. I've fasted before, trying things like a full 7 day fast (terrible, never doing it again), rolling 48s (manageable but weight loss isn't as rapid as I'd like), and OMAD (easiest to pull off and easiest to give up on). I'm not new to fasting, but I just want to make sure I'm not in over my head.
Ideally once I'm done with this fast program I'll fall into a 16:8 and more strenuous exercise.
Edit: one reason I chose 72s was for autophagy, I've got some health concerns and want the body repair (and ideally some skin tightening)
