Warning: TMI post.

Not surprisingly, I have a confirmed case gastroparesis. (I have eliminated gallstones and h. pylori as the cause.) When an attack happens, this is the usual chain of events:

1. I'll eat or drink something (it can be something as simple as water, applesauce cup, etc)
2. My stomach will start to hurt; the swelling starts. Sometimes I get nauseous, too.
3. The pain will intensify until it peaks, and that peak pain will last anywhere from 4 to 12 hours or more. When the pain is bad enough, I'll vomit, and the food is often totally undigested.
4. Once the attack is over, and the symptoms are gone, I suddenly realize I'm so hungry I could eat a horse.

Does this happen to anyone else? I literally feel like I haven't eaten in days. I go from feeling nauseous from the gastroparesis to nauseous because I'm so hungry. And it happens pretty suddenly, too.

What causes this? It's so weird. And so conflicting, because my body now wants me to do the very thing that caused the attack in the first place. Ugh, EDS, you are stupid and I hate you. Go home.
