I know it's frowned upon to give medical advice over the internet, but I can't go see a specialist right now, so I would definitely appreciate any help any of you can give me. This is making me want to pull my hair out!!
So just be aware that this post deals with some gross medical stuff, so don't read it if you have a sensitive stomach. Anyway, to make a long story short, I've always had GI issues (obviously). Doctors that I have been able to see just insist its IBS or my gallbladder. They refuse to consider anything else. Eventually, they finally figured out that my widespread, severe, frequent abdominal pain was from an h. Pylori infection. I took tons of meds, and a breath test confirmed that the treatment was successful. But I'm still having the same pain! This has been going on for years, and I'm so over this. It happens no matter what I eat or drink, and when I do manage to eat, I get full really quickly. Yesterday, I had my first meal at around 7 PM and could only finish half of it. So frustrating. And moving around more doesn't help, either.
My HIDA scan was crystal clear, so my gallbladder is not blocked. In fact, the technician could immediately see how clear my gallbladder and duct were, and the scan didn't even last an hour. Doctors have confirmed that the pain I'm having is not consistent with the pain of a gallbladder attack. The pain I'm having lasts much longer, and it does not travel. And I don't eat fast food, and I rarely drink soda. I am so sick of everyone talking about my %$@#*& gallbladder!
So the only thing I can think of is MCAD. Maybe I'm just having an insane allergic reaction to everything, and it's causing ulcers just like my h. Pylori infection did. I'm just theorizing, though. And to top that off, now have a painful burning rash under my armpits. It's not razor burn, because the rashes appeared before I shaved. I keep getting these raw bumps, but nothing pops out of them. They're just these awful sores, and there's a bright red, angry-looking patch of skin and it causes an intense burning pain, almost like I've been scalded there. And it's not a fungal skin infection, because I've had those before and those don't cause bumps, and the rash I have now has no odor like a fungal infection would. So maybe the same deodorant I've been using for years is causing an MCAD reaction??
What do I do? Would Benadryl help my stomach and underarms?
