I'm frustrated with all this stupid bureaucracy and red tape, and i need help.
So I had a visit with my primary care physician about two weeks ago. At the last minute, I decided to try and push to get tested for CVID. It has been a logistical nightmare!
First, they told me to get it done at LabCorp. So I went there, and they had to have some kind of codes for these tests. I can only get these codes from my doctor's office. So I called my doctor's office. Long story short, they cannot find the codes and don't have them, (both the receptionist and the nurse looked for them), so they suggested I go to a local diagnostic center.
So I went to the diagnostic center. I have no health insurance and no income, but I had some GoFundMe donations squirreled away. But the diagnostic center told me that the test for CVID starts at $3,500. I do not have enough donations for that. So I called LabCorp again. They have a financial hardship program, but they won't do the test without the &*#$%ing codes! I called my doctors office again, and it was futile. They don't have the codes. I cannot believe I am this stuck!!
Can someone help me??
