I just got back from my local diagnostic center, and they told me that the test for CVID is more than $2,500. I am uninsured and without income, and I need to know what my option are. And no, I am not asking for donations in this post. I need to know what I can do that will give me access to this test. Here's what I know so far:
- I've made account and contacted the Immune Deficiency Foundation.
- I've looked into the Rock Springs Clinic. I can't drive, and my roommates and I share the use of one car. My other three roommates work, and share that one car. Someone would have to drive me all over town getting the paperwork, and drive me to the clinic and back home. Given the current circumstances, this is not entirely feasible.
- I've looked into the Georgia Charitable Care Network. I don't really see much on the website. It gave me the name of a clinic, but I don't need a clinic. I need help paying for a medical test.
- I plan on updating my GoFundMe later tonight.
- I also plan on contacting U. R. Our Hope later tonight.
All of the options I've found just kind of seem like "maybe" options. Nothing solid. I've been dealing with this logistical nightmare for 13 years. I just want to get this done so I can do what I need to do to stabilize my life.
Ugh. Anyone have any ideas?
