Atypical Gallbladder Issues - An Update
Post Body

WARNING: Do not read this if you have a sensitive stomach or if you've eaten recently. The later part of this post alludes to some bathroom talk.

Anyway, a few weeks back, I wrote this post about how my doctors found gallstones, but my gallstone symptoms were really weird and the exact opposite of typical.

On Friday, I had some testing done to try and figure all of this out. Those results are pending. I also had a HIDA scan, and those results are surprising.

The technician and nurse both told me that the scan could take anywhere from 2 to 4 hours, as they need a clear image of the gallbladder, liver, and small intestine. Problems with any of those organs can cause the test to take longer.

But my gallbladder, liver, and small intestine showed up instantly. The only reason they even did one hour was to follow protocol. My bile duct isn't clogged at all - not even minimally, and there was no evidence of problems anywhere aside from the stones.

Oh, and the Miralax I took 5 1/2 hours before one of my tests to make the process, um, easier? It didn't work at all. The only reason i got a sample at all is because I spent 20 minutes pushing so hard that I broke a sweat, ended up out of breath, and saw black spots in my vision.

I hate that none of this testing is going the way I need it to go. I don't know what any of this means. Help . . . or something. Sigh.
