Getting Tested for CVID and PCOS
Post Body

I know the title probably sounds completely irrelevant to EDS, so bear with me. here's my (very convoluted) situation.

I'm going to be applying for disability soon. I know how god-awful and soul-sucking that process is. So I want as much "ammunition" as possible. In this case, it would be my hEDS diagnosis plus the comorbidities.

It's tough, because I have no heath insurance and no income, since I can't work. But thanks to recent GoFundMe donations, I can afford the out-of-pocket costs to see doctors and specialists.

I've seen a cardiologist about POTS, so I can knock that off my list. I am going to see a GI doctor later this week about my possible gastroparesis, so that's done, too. I am also working on gathering some evidence from the mental health side of things, too. The only thing I have left to plan is to get tested for CVID and PCOS. I know that PCOS isn't necessarily a comorbidity of heDS, but I figured I could get both of those blood tests taken care of at one time.

I asked my primary care doctor about it, and he seemed uninterested in testing me, because "those tests are pretty complicated." I thought that was weird, since he's been so immensely helpful in helping me coordinate everything else.

Anyway, how do I pursue the blood tests for PCOS and CVID without blowing through the rest of my donation money? I'd prefer that this be straightforward if possible. I need some direction.

Thanks!
