So I am uninsured, unable to work, undiagnosed, and dealing with what is most likely Vascular EDS. It's kind of a long story.
And I've been posting quite a bit here lately, so if I am getting repetitive, I apologize ahead of time.
Anyway, I just wanted to see if maybe someone out there could recommend a doctor in Georgia who maybe specializes in the different types of EDS, or who could help me out, or get me out of this situation, knows of an organization, or something. I have already pursued GradyCare, U.R.Our Hope, SWAN, Undiagnosed Diseases Program, In Need of Diagnosis, Genetic testing facilities, GoFundMe, and pretty much everything else. None of it panned out. I live in Macon, for what its worth.
I found one last place, a local doctor's office, that has a reduced fee program. It's $45 per whatever testing I might need. And I can at least scrape together that amount somehow. But I need a backup plan in case this one doesn't work out. I guess I just figured, if that doesn't work, I can see what else is out there, just in case. Maybe save up a few hundred dollars for a month of health insurance or something. In my condition, that could take months if not years, but it's the only other option I've got.
P.S., I did that once already, and the first thing I looked into was the genetic testing. Unfortunately, you have to have health insurance for at least 6 months in order to pursue that. Oh well. I tried.
