I'm 38F, I have hEDS, and I'm concerned I may be entering perimenopause. Regardless of if I'm entering it now or not, I'm going to enter it eventually.
Seeing as EDS affects EVERYTHING and few doctors know much about it, and few doctors know much about perimenopause, I'd like to get everyone's knowledge, wisdom, and advice about this.
What do you wish you would have known about perimenopause and menopause before it happened? And what advice or information do you have for me?
(I live near Boston and I can see doctors there and in the surrounding area, so if anyone has any recommendations of doctors to see I would love to know!!)
I am going through it now at 28. My mom was fully through menopause by 32. I have already had my tubes removed but am going in for a consult for partial hysterectomy next month because the weird periods are literally ruining my life and I don't want to be on hormones. I get cold far more easily now than I used to. My mood swings are literally awful too.
Idk, we'll see. Mostly commenting to follow.
