How do I know it’s time for crutches/cane?

Post Body

Hi everyone, I’m 17 here and was recently diagnosed. So far my treatment has looked like pain meds, physical therapy, and getting a brace to straighten out my back/take pressure off my shoulders to stop subluxation. Unfortunately when I go for long periods of time standing, it kills my hips/ankles holding myself up. I would love to have the support of forearm crutches/cane to hold my weight while I’m out with friends at concerts, the mall, standing around at school, shops, etc. I’m concerned my parents will think I’m “dramatic” for needing more support. I’m also concerned my peers at school would judge me/stare if I used crutches. Any advice would be appreciated :)
