EDS isn't fun in a rural area

Post Body

Hi all, I live in a rural area that has absolutely no docs who have any clue about EDS. I have hEDS. Before I was diagnosed, we thought I broke my foot in 2018 as x-ray didn't show I broke it, but I heard a loud SNAP when I pivoted on my foot and had a hard time walking. It did show up on a bone scan, so it's assumed I bruised the bone and messed up the ligaments as I was in a moon boot for 6 months. Suddenly, I'm feeling that pain again. It's hard to put pressure near the ball of my foot, and if I do it feels almost dislocated. I'm debating on urgent care or sucking it up until I can get in with an orthopedic doctor about two hours away. I hate that every doc around here is just clueless and thinks I'm making it up 🙃 and the fun thing is they tell you to go to the ER, like that does anything.
