Whenever you get too tired of pumping the brake and the gas, you put your car on autopilot. Same goes for the brain. When it’s too tired, it runs on it’s own. This creates the feeling of being separate from what you’re doing. But it’s the REAL YOU who’s still doing it, so don’t be scared.
I put together a small list of a few things I’ve come up with on the fly when I notice some clarity in my DPDR. I’ve had this for about 3 years now.
Focus on the inhale of the breath through your nose, your forehead, and the front of ur face.
Focus on your inner monologue, and your facial expressions.
Focus on sounds around you, and feelings in your body, until they become clear and you will notice a shift.
From a depersonalized perspective this feeling almost feels like going into a flow state of mind. I’m almost certain this is what being normal feels like. It’s just been so long for me it’s hard to remember. I get glimpses of clarity especially with that last one. That last one seems to be one of the keys for me.
You’re not alone. There’s millions of us out there. Remember to try and enjoy life. Take it day by day if you have to. You’ll get there but part of getting there requires you believe you can.
I love you. God loves you.
God has a plan for you. May his blessings be upon you, may he show his favor, and give you his peace.
