Community service is usually a form of volunteering - unpaid service to benefit a community, nonprofit or cause. But it is not always performed on a voluntary basis: some schools require service hours for a class grade or for graduation, & many courts assign service hours as a part of someone’s sentence. This subreddit is to discuss community service & to offer advice to both those compelled to perform such service & those expected to create tasks for & supervise such.
