What should I line a leather sheath with?
Post Body

I am going to see if I can get the local leather worker (who mostly makes and repairs shoes) to make me a sheath for my 270mm Kiritsuke . But it being full carbon, I know I need to dry it properly before storage but was wondering about materials to line the sheath that could either protect it from oxidation or just damage in general.

This is my first time looking towards a sheath or anything for a knife. I also recently got a blade guard that I was thinking of cutting down to the size of the knife and getting the leather wrapped around that.

Any ideas or help would be awesome! Thanks.
