TLDR: Which is the most effective exercise for building muscle, goblet squats or weighted backpack squats?
I (M) am 26 years old, 5'11, around 170lbs
Hello great people of bodyweightfitness, I have a question about my leg workout. I've been doing this Chris Heria workout for a few months:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lQOSLBCNDF4&t=479s
It involves a 6 exercise superset, 45 seconds on, 15 seconds rest:
- Goblet Squats
- Curtsy Lunges (with goblet/dumbell)
- Goblet Lunges
- Deadlift (with dumbells)
- Glute Bridges
- Wallsit
I'm currently doing 3 sets of it with the goblet style and my legs are burning pretty good by the end of it. I recently started exploring weighted pullups and thought I could potentially incorporate that into my leg day too.
Just wondering if the weighted backpack would make it tougher or if the goblet style has some benefits that I don't know about.
Thanks!
