Hey /r/bodyweightfitness. I was wondering if you could advise me on a couple of things:
Frog stand into handstand: How can I work on the muscles I need to be able to do this more fluidly? I can jerk my self up there for a second then I fall down afterwards. I have no trouble doing a handstand for a minute (moving around a bit to balance) but going from a frog stand to hand stand (and vice versa) takes more muscle I assume.
About my belly: When I wake up and go to the mirror and flex I can see my abs. I eat breakfast and try again, I can't see them anymore ( I can feel them though). Are there any exercises I can do to cut down my body fat so I can see them 24/7 (and preferably without flexing?) I really hate running, but if that is the best way I'll start running on my treadmill (and at this point, will a mile a day be sufficient or should I strive for 2?)
Bulking up with bodyweightfitness: I have 2 40 pound dumbbells at home and have been using those and a combination of push ups to work on my strength, but I'm not getting "bigger". I can do 50 push ups, but I read that I need more reps or more "weight" to gain muscle. What exercises can I do to bulk up and get stronger? My strongest muscles are my biceps, chest and abs. Everything else is pretty week. (I look big and strong when I flex, but I know I'm not) and my legs are noodles.
One handed handstand: I can do two fine, but shifting to one is a problem for me. My body tips back to the middle and I'm forced to catch myself with my other hand and then I shift back into a 2 handed hand stand. I can provide pictures and videos if you need me to. Greatly appreciate this guys. Thanks!
