Hi guys. So I am currently trying to learn the muscle-up and a lot of youtube channels say that you need atleast 10 pull ups to achieve one. But obviously what is more needed is one good explosive pull-up. So the way you achieve an explosive pull-up is by doing weighted pull-ups, right? My question is when can i start implementing the weighted pull-ups in order to start training for more explosive pull-up? Currently in my pull day I do 4 sets of 5 pull-ups along with some other exercises. When do I change the normal pull-ups for weighted pull-ups and with what weight should I start?
I would suggest starting with a light weight and gradually increasing as you get stronger
It's important to maintain proper form and slowly progress to avoid injury
Good luck with your muscle-up training!
