I come from a bodybuilding background, and I've been quite successful in it, but I've recently accepted a job that is going to require me to do a lot of pushups, pullups, and running.
I've used couch 2 5k before, so I'll probably fire that up again.
I'll likely just use pavel's pull-up progression system.
For pushups I'm not sure what I should do. Linear progression for total reps?? Or should I break it up to get overall more reps?? I'm not entirely sure how to program this.
I think I'll still lift twice a week too. Bench/squat one day, OHP/Deadlift the other (and some direct delt work here because they're my most impressive attribute, and I don't want em to shrivel!). I'll likely just do linear progression here for a while, but a bit higher than the 5 rep range. More like 7-9 or something like that. I'll eventually likely switch it to 5/3/1 though.
What do ya think??
