Are you strict as Bryan about your sleep?

I love getting my 8 hours of sleep. I feel on top of the world when I consistently sleep well.

However my friend has been saying that I miss out on many social situations with such a strict routine and that I’m unexciting. He’s the kind of guy that can party until 5am and wake up fine and go out again 2 or 3 days in a row.

I am not that guy. I feel dysfunctional if I sleep less than 7 hours, especially cognitively. I feel ok with 7. Amazing with 8.

How do you balance the need to go to parties and socialize which comes with its own benefits both personally and professionally and your sleep?

Am I taking the wrong approach with being so strict about my sleep?
