In a universe where the Presence has a sense of humor, Billy Batson gets the power of Shazam, but… the result is that he transforms into, well, an adult woman. He still has his own mind and he has his Shazam powers, but “his” adult body is an athletic blonde woman with an appropriately fitted version of the Shazam costume.
Assume that if he gets past the weirdness of it, that the gender bent Shazam is just as effective in combat as the conventional version.
To be clear, I reference Carol Danvers because this prompt is founded on the meta gag overlapping the two characters who had the same name, but as far as Billy is concerned, he’s not taking on anyone’s identity. Shazam’s freaky magic has just made him into a female superhero.
How much does this mess with Billy’s head, wisdom of Solomon or not, and how does it change his character arc and relationships?
Slightly OT but I held onto the slim hope in Young Justice that once Billy was found out to also be a kid by the team that he would eventually subconsciously alter his transformation to become Captain Marvel Jr to introduce that character and better fit into the group as a regular member.
