so my music store chain is open Sundays this month for Christmas (a company first - usually we just open the Sunday before Christmas). Last week (the 13th) I picked up the phone and was connected with a kindly-sounding gentleman who wanted to get back into playing drums after 20 years. I'm not a drum guy by any means, but I did my best to help him. we'll call him OD for older drummer.

OD: i'm wondering what drum kits you might have available.

me: let me have a look... oh okay. I see a 5 piece drum kit here, used. really great price on it.

OD: 5 piece... that's good. you know, i'm just getting back into playing drums - I'm 77 - I used to play professionally off and on and stopped drumming because of health reasons.

me: oh, wow. well, I'd love to set you up.

we talked a little longer and he eventually revealed that the drum set would be more for his 22 grandchildren to bang on when they come over. I eventually got him some prices on used kits and he was super glad to talk. he hasn't come by yet, but when he does, i hope he's as nice as he sounded on the telephone.
