Maca Root Extract label question?
Post Body

I was given the recommendation to try some Maca Root for its apparent help in increasing Libido. I purchased some supplements but I am confused with the wording & how much I should take because the recommended dose on the packet seems low. The label says:

Maca Root Extract (Lepidium Meyenii) equivalent to 500mg dried root per tablet.

1 tablet provides 50mg 10:1 Maca root extract, equivalent to 500mg whole root.

Ingredients:

Maca Extract, Bulking Agents (Cellulose, Dicalcium Phosphate), Anti-caking Agent (Magnesium Stearate)

Maca (lepidium meyenii) concentrated extract

Equivalent to 500mg whole dried root

Easy swallow, one-a-day tablet

Popular botanical food supplement

Maca (lepidium meyenii) is a popular food supplement. Originating in the high-altitude regions of the Andes in South

America where it was cultivated for use and purported to be eaten by Inca imperial warriors preparing for battle.

Lindens Maca 500mg Tablets each contain a potent, concentrated extract of Maca, equivalent to 500mg whole, dried, lepidium meyenii root in an easy swallow, one a day capsule.

So it says it provides 50mg root extract equivalent to 500mg whole root. Does this mean each tablet contains 50mg or 500mg? Also, I have seen recommended dosage to be anywhere from 1500mg to 3000mg so should I take a minmum of 3 tablets per day?
