I do feel my glutes but then day after my hamstrings are stiff but not my butt??

Basically I do feel my glute when training (mostly medium and small though) and I do mind/body connection to activate it. But I still feel that hamstrings are also working (maybe more, maybe less, hard to tell). And on the day after it's mostly hamstring that hurts. Does that mean my glutes are not being activated enough? Or does that mean that my hamstrings are weak / weaker than my butt and so it's just a normal muscular growth?
