I went to school years ago for Human Services but I didn't finish my degree. I've continued to learn about mental health and trauma healing for personal purposes and wondering how I can turn this passion into a career. I don't have my own experience with somatic therapy as a patient because there's only 2 practitioners in my area.
I have this idea to host classes, maybe at a yoga studio, to teach people about their nervous systems and how to regulate them. Maybe leading to getting therapy clients for one on one sessions, focusing on coping skills, nervous system regulation and trauma healing.
Is somatic therapy the right path for that? Is there a particular school I would go to for somatic therapy training? Would I also need an associates or bachelor's to do this?
