People are much more interested in the reputation of the company that built their car, than the one that built their house. Yet, your house costs more to buy and maintain, and you'll likely have it much longer than your car.

I am very much interested in the company that built my house. I know plenty of terrible builders to avoid, one major player being Pratt homes in you are in Ontario. Absolute garbage houses, put together by cave dwelling troglodytes with all the fun cost savings you could possibly imagine to make your life hell.
