Feeling nonverbal during/after panic attack
Post Body

So, as I write this, I’m actually just coming down from a panic attack that started with a mild manic episode. I was feeling fairly good all day (which is weird for me, cuz I have POTS and chronic pain), and eventually I started to feel super energized and hyper. But I couldn’t do anything about it, cuz I was at work minding the register.

Something I noticed that I have during my panic attacks is that words become kind of difficult to form. Like, I have to really put thought into them when I speak. Eventually, I go nonverbal. This lasts for a while, and it really sucks, because people around me get really frustrated with my sudden inability to communicate (but, as you can see, I don’t have any issues with articulating myself via text).

I don’t know how normal or common this is for others, but I wanted to see if anyone maybe related to this?? I’m hoping I’m not alone in this. I’m sorry if this is weird, btw, I hop you understand where I’m coming from in posting this.
