Do any of you also have heartbeat issues when dissociating?

I posted this in r/cPTSD though no one could relate which was sort of unexpected… and mildly worrying. Posting here for comparison. Please if someone does relate, do give me a sign.

Dissociating, I feel like I’m still asleep- emotionally almost completely numb, I enter a hypnotic trance-like state immediately once I start listening to music, reality feels emotionally distant, my hands feel very numb, slightly tingly… which are standard dissociative symptoms for me Aaaaaaand I’ve been having those weird heartbeat issues. My heartbeat feels slow- as if the part of my brain that controls it was still asleep. It’s scary, uncomfortable, I want it to stop… yet at the same time no matter how scared I get, my heartbeat won’t respond to the emotion. Like it’s stuck on beating with the same speed and me being terrified out of my guts is totally irrelevant.

I remember the first time I noticed it happening a few years ago I was legit scared that I had some medical issue and was gonna die… that it might be a sign of incoming heart failure or sth (Nothing happened. Had a crap ton of tests done to diagnose the problem- all of them were negative. The heart structure, function and blood work results were all normal)

I’ve been wondering, does any of you experience anything similar?
